Deliverable D 05

Detailed analysis of the existing technical barriers by standards and instructions, grouped by several types of influence and relevance

Lead participant: INIG

Conservation and management of energy sources require cooperation between people and governments of all developed countries. Such countries have to secure the energy supply and improve protection of environment. Decrease of energy consumption should help to avoid problems related to greenhouse effect and changes of climate.

The European Commission started the information campaign on consequences of unlimited increase of electric power consumption. The campaign “Intelligent Energy for Europe” started in 2005 and will terminate in 2008.

The campaign objectives are:

  • decrease of energy consumption in EU countries by 20% before 2020;
  • Increase share of removable energy sources in total energy production to 12% before 2010.

The EU campaign is addressed to people, companies, institution and organizations operating in EU countries. The European Commission wants to inform people and appropriate authorities about advantages of sustained energy policy and postpone excessive depletion of energy resources and changes of climate. For the time being we need to find optimum technical and organizational solutions which would allow us for profitable use of renewable energy sources.

Production of electricity and thermal energy using so called “polygeneration” systems seems to be one of such solutions.

Information about barriers and obstacles (BaOs) should be collected for all EU countries and thus  all partners of Redubar project had to provide the appropriate data. The WP02 work task is realized by 15 participants from 9 countries.

Below specified data were gathered directly from partners which provided them via internet. The data unification and transmission to data base (www.d04.redubar.eu) was possible using simple questionnaire prepared using Excell calculation worksheet.

The aim is to prepare a helpful tool for all target groups. For a permanent accommodation to the actual situation on the market we  need  feedback from the target groups. So if you use this deliverable please fill out the questionnaire and send it back to redubar@dbi-gut.de.

Thank you very much
